Returns the authenticated user's profile. The row is re-fetched on every call, so dashboard-side updates (avatar, full name) surface on the next mobile poll without forcing a logout.

Integrators can call this to confirm a freshly-provisioned API key is recognized — the response's auth_method field tells you which mechanism authenticated this call.
